Hello, beautiful flowers of the community!

We’ve reached the end of a month that feels like a turning point in my life—especially regarding my personal and mental growth. October served as a reminder that when you truly commit to your goals and your well-being, the universe conspires to gift you unforgettable moments. As has become my custom, I’m sharing my catharsis for this month—an acrostic-style exercise paired with photographs. Each letter represents an experience, an achievement, or a special memory that left a deep mark on my heart.

O is for Gifts that soothe the soul and tell me: You are a good aunt.

This month brought me the joy of sharing memorable moments with my nephew, Lian. Although he was with me for only a week, those were wonderful days that filled me with happiness as I discovered just how much a baby can change in just a few weeks. He has grown into a cheerful, mischievous, and deeply curious child, exploring the world by observing the cause-and-effect relationship behind every little action.

It warmed my heart to see how attached he was to me and how he actively sought out interaction—whether by initiating a game, giving me a hug, or simply catching my eye and smiling. It is fascinating to witness this developmental milestone firsthand, where emotional connection and an eager desire to discover everything completely transform the way he communicates.

alt

C for Growing and Changing, Without Fear of What Others Might Say

This month, I saw a dream come to life—one that reconnected me with tools that strengthen my present and build my future. I gave my first-ever presentation in English, channeling my nerves into confidence and capability. The most beautiful part is that this came about after I finished an entire book in just two months, surrounded at the academy by a group of wonderful young women who are on this same learning journey. I shared a deeply personal presentation with them about "my favorite things"—covering my favorite song and singer, my family (my beautiful sanctuary), my favorite color, and my favorite animal—all while weaving these details together through the concept of ikigai, that powerful Japanese philosophy that defines our reason for being.

alt

Explaining the concept of ikigai to my peers—and sharing how I discovered my own through the things I love and my purpose in writing—was a profoundly enriching experience. This achievement shows me that every journey begins with a first step—taken even while feeling afraid, yet with the certainty that effort leads to something greater. Being there, sharing my passions in a language I am continuing to master day by day, is proof that when we dare to take action, everything around us begins to change.

T for Tribe and Discipline with "The Glow Up Project"

Sometimes, significant life changes are set in motion by an illness, a courageous decision, or simply by self-love—ultimately, any reason that drives you to improve yourself is entirely valid. With this in mind, I decided to join a book club this month where we are working through The Power of Now on a weekly basis; it has been a true balm, helping me stay grounded in the present moment. At the same time, I committed to joining an online group—composed primarily of women—called "The Glow Up Project." In this group, we challenge ourselves to follow six core rules for 60 days: dedicating the first hour of the day to ourselves, taking care of our bodies, reading for 30 minutes, always showing up as our best selves, completing three daily "non-negotiables," and tracking our progress.

alt

Monitoring this journey through the challenge’s app and sharing the process with the community has completely transformed my days. Beyond the rules themselves, this space has become an invaluable source of motivation—a constant reminder that building a conscious routine is the greatest act of love we can offer ourselves.

alt

U for Uniting my steps with movement

As my birthday approaches, I feel a visceral need to shed my skin, restore myself, and return to my center. This time, the call came as a profound awakening to my own body—a radical transformation that spans everything from how I move to how I nourish myself. I had been stuck in an intensely sedentary routine, spending most of my day sitting in front of a screen, writing, creating, and sharing my life with the world. To break that cycle and restore vitality to my physical vessel, I decided to change the narrative and join a group that runs, jogs, and walks through the city of Valencia in the late afternoon.

Moving outdoors and embracing this new habit has transformed my daily life, allowing me to reconnect with the streets of Valencia from an entirely different perspective. And yes—I’ve officially jumped into the wonderful world of fitness and running! This transition hasn’t just helped me boost my circulation, improve my posture, and combat the physical toll of long hours at a desk; it has become my weekly therapy. Running at sunset offers an immediate mental reset, helping me shed digital stress and recharge my creative energy through free, uninhibited movement.

alt

Ultimately, this journey has taught me that building a healthy habit doesn’t have to be a solitary, painful endeavor. Sharing the path with a community has brought discipline back into my life—but in a way that’s truly enjoyable. It has shown me that I’ve moved from living solely within my own thoughts to listening to, strengthening, and celebrating my body. It’s a personal "new year" reset that restores my flexibility and dynamism, while reinforcing the certainty that we are always capable of transformation.

alt

S for Seeking the best version of myself

Each of the challenges I have taken on over these past few months has left me feeling happy, connected to my core, and fully present in the here and now. Yet, this journey has also brought moments of intense emotional breakdown. It is hard not to look around and realize that, in my twenties, I had hoped to have my own home, a car, and a high-paying job—but the reality is that, today, I have none of those things. I believe it is perfectly valid to feel this way and to aspire to more, especially in a context like Venezuela’s, where the effort required to achieve any goal is tripled, and the path ahead is significantly steeper.

Amidst this emotional roller coaster, I hold onto a deep sense of gratitude. I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity to have studied a field I am truly passionate about at a private university—even if, at times, I feel like I’m only getting a fraction of the potential value out of the experience. Acknowledging this doesn’t erase my frustration, but it does help me find some balance. After a very eye-opening conversation with my mother, I came to understand that adulthood isn’t about blaming our parents for who we are today; rather, it’s about taking full responsibility for our own actions and words.

Sometimes, we carry a suitcase filled with wisdom and tools, but the real challenge lies in knowing how to apply them at the right moment. Realizing that the control of my future rests in my own hands—regardless of external circumstances—has been one of the most challenging yet liberating lessons of this phase of my life.

R for Renewing the desire to learn and explore

This month confirmed for me that true learning is not limited to what we absorb within a classroom; rather, it is something lived, breathed, and deeply valued in every small goal we manage to achieve. Over these past few weeks, I not only saw the fruits of my perseverance—finishing my first book and clocking in many valuable miles—but I also celebrated the growth of my community, reaching 300 followers on TikTok. It served as a reminder of what I am capable of when I make a commitment to myself. Each of these steps has been a way to expand my external boundaries and find motivation through consistency, proving to me that real knowledge lies in the process of moving forward and exploring the world in new ways.

Yet, the most challenging and significant achievement had nothing to do with numbers or pages read; it concerned my inner world—finding the courage to open my heart and reveal my emotions to my family—a step I never thought I would dare to take. We are often taught to appear strong and shielded, but this month I realized that true strength lies in the ability to let ourselves be seen as we truly are, especially within our most intimate circles. Acknowledging and embracing our own vulnerability is an act of absolute courage—one that, sadly, many do not know how to practice or feel they cannot afford. Ultimately, it leaves you with the certainty that renewing your zest for life means embracing both the satisfaction of reaching your goals and the beauty of being sensitive and authentic with those who matter most to you.

S for Starting over—that’s perfectly okay.

Closing out October leaves me with a profound sense of peace and the certainty that daily effort is truly worthwhile. Viewing this month as a logbook of transformation has shown me that taking care of my health, my goals, and my relationships is the best way to honor this beautiful journey of life. And so, I look forward to November with anticipation—but this time, I’m fully prepared, living as the version of myself I deserve, and ready to welcome whatever comes next with an open heart and a clear mind.

If you’d like to dive deeper into this pursuit of well-being and see how I envision this lifestyle unfolding in the future, I invite you to read my post on how I plan to reach the age of 100. In it, I reflect on the importance of building sustainable habits rooted in self-love and daily consistency. October served as a reminder of the power of consistency, self-love, and the process of shaping my present—wiser, less focused on perfection, and more truly present.

Thank you for reading and for joining me on this journey!
