Italian dishes come with a great taste, Lot of which is attributed to the rich, tangy marinara sauce. Made with tomatoes, garlic and onion, this sauce seems to have hidden ingredients given the great taste is has. It is very healthy too since it has very less spices. It can be savored with pasta, ravioli, pizza and lots of other Italian dishes. Let’s see how we make it.
1 onion,
8-10 garlic cloves,
6 tomatoes,
2 tbsp tomato ketchup,
salt to taste,
1/2 tbsp black pepper,
oregano,
chilli flakes
Step 1: grind the tomatoes in a mixer grinder to make a fine purée.
Step 2: chop the onion and garlic. Take 2 tbsp oil in a pan and heat it. Add the chopped onion and garlic and sauté on low flame.
Step 3: once the onion and garlic turn brown, add the tomatoe purée.
Step 4: now add salt, black pepper, chilli Flakes, oregano and tomato ketchup to sauce. Mix well and let it cook for 5/7 minutes.
Step 5: Add about 100 ml water and Allow it to cook for around 5 more minutes.
Step 6: serve hot with your favourite Italian dish.
