Daisies

Welcome to my #wednesdaywalk hosted by tattoodjay@tattoodjay. Today I took the time to slow down and smell (photograph 馃槉) the flowers. Its spring time in Vermont and wildflowers are blooming. Flower beds are in bloom also.

Clover

Purple clover is blooming in the fields.

Dame's Rocket

Dame's Rocket looks very similar to phlox but has 4 petals vs 5 on phlox.

Purple Dame's Rocket

Purple and white to pink Dame's Rocket is very common in this part of Vermont.

Pink Dame's Rocket

I find it beautiful but it is invasive and crowds out native plants. It has an interesting history and is still planted even included in wildflower mixes.

Tiny Pine Cones

Ok this one isn't a flower but it is still a pretty addition of color in the woods. These are tiny pine cones just getting started.

Snow-in-Summer

Not sure on the ID here but hopefully you are here for the pretty flower pictures and not a botany lesson 馃檪

Ninebark

Ninebark produces these pretty flower clusters.

Weigela

Here is some old fashioned weigela with some showy red blooms.

Garlic Mustard

Garlic mustard produces this tiny white flowers and unfortunately is another invasive species.

Daisy

Lots of white daisies which are always pretty.

Iris

I made sure to loop by this neighbor's house to get a look at his Iris bed.

Opening Iris

We also got some much needed rain last night which adds to the photographs.

Purple Iris

The iris are almost perfect right now.

Columbine

Finally some columbine back near my house. Hope you enjoyed this #wednesdaywalk and hope you take the opportunity to slow down for a walk of your own today 馃檪
