Happy #mondaymushroom or maybe a late (or early?) #fungifriday 馃し I found a couple of mushrooms on our morning walk and thought I would share them.
This large shelf mushroom is probably 9 inches across.
I think there is an older mushroom near the base of the tree that is decaying.
There are several of this mushroom growing on a cedar tree near the lake. Based on a quick look on the internet (always dangerous with mushrooms 鈽狅笍) I think this might be Lingzhi. No gills as you can see in the first photo.
I also noticed this small, slender, delicate mushroom in my yard. It popped up in a particularly wet spot that is drying out in the hot weather.
Conehead (Conocybe apala) maybe?
I flipped this one over for a picture of the gills.
I'm an occasional contributor in these forums and a rank amatuer. I enjoy nature and get out alot so I see things 馃憖. I also hike with a friend that does a little foraging. I hope you enjoyed these photos.
Happy #mushroommonday 馃檪
