Happy #mushroommonday 🍄 I had a great #mushroommonday. Got in some foraging this afternoon. I also found some foraging photos from last week in my photo folder. The chanterelles above are from last week.
Black trumpet also know as black chanterelles. I think this is my favorite mushroom I forage. Photo is also from last week.
I found some nice large black trumpets
Here's an even bigger black trumpet 🙂
I also found some Shrimp of the Woods (Aborted Entolotma). Aborted entolomas are produced through a reaction of an entoloma species with honey mushrooms when growing in the same vicinity - https://foragerchef.com/entoloma-abortivum-aborted-entoloma-mushroom/
These have very firm flesh reminding you of shrimp plus the shape.
Today I found chanterelles, black trumpet, shrimp of the woods...
plus a little chicken of the woods, hen of the woods and a nice bolette.
Here are the mushrooms from last week - more of the chanterelles, black trumpets, and shrimp of the woods. Plus some lions mane and white coral.
Happy Monday everyone. Hope you are having a good start to the week 🙂
