Out for a chilly walk this morning to the lake. I got a pleasant surprise.
The dock I complained about in yesterday's post was finally out of the water 馃檪 That allows this shot without the dock and also some new perspectives like the first photography of the cabin.
The new perspectives are important because that side of the lake is the only place getting morning light. The sun is much lower in the sky already and we are still a full month from the official start of winter. Official astrological start to Winter is December 21st.
I always take this photo in the fall and it has been blocked by the dock until now.
That leaves me with views like this of the opposite shore darkened by the shadows in the morning.
I could go back in the afternoon but we normally walk a different route for our afternoon walk.
Here is the shot I love without the clutter of the dock. This is the shot I take almost every day of the lake capturing the changing mood of the lake and changing of the seasons. I find the perfect symmetry right to left and top to bottom calming and relaxing.
