Two Red Barns

I stopped and took a few photos of local dairy barns this week.

Dairy buildings

Most of the older dairies are built right on the road.

Red Barn

Dairies usually have dairy barns for the cows, hay barns for the hay, maybe some silos to put up silage, plus miscellaneous other buildings like equipment sheds and houses.

Grey Barn

Not all barns are red ๐Ÿ˜ Here's a grey silo and barn.

New "Barn"

Not all barns are old or even barns. Here's a new house built to look like a barn. Looks like they have a nice view of the Green Mountains in the distance.

Wolf Hill Farm

Not all farms in Vermont are dairies. Some grow crops, raise chickens, harvest maple syrup, whatever it takes to make a living.

Wide view

This farm has lots of outbuilding with at least one clearly marketed for chickens. Hope you enjoyed this short Vermont Barn tour. Have a #beautifulsunday on this #sublimesunday ๐Ÿ™‚
