Hello.
Do you like pickled hot peppers with your meals? Whenever I want to eat something, I always look for pickled pepper. Pickles are already healthy on their own. Thanks to its antioxidant properties, it helps us to remove toxins from our body. It prevents the growth of bacteria in our stomach. It burns fat and speeds up our metabolism. It has many benefits like this. The most effective feature for me is that it solves the problem of constipation. Who can say no to something so useful?
We set up a lot of jars of pickles last winter, and I ate all of those pickles throughout the winter. This year, we started to make pickles in the same way. We make most of the pickles from the peppers we collect from our garden, but sometimes we also buy the hot peppers that the villagers sell at our local market. Just like today. We bought from the market my favorite pepper called fish pepper. I had never heard of this chili ever since I moved here. One day, I bought bread from the market for an old uncle living here, and he wanted to give me a jar of pickles as a gift in return. Although I said that it was not necessary, I could not resist their insistence and bought the pickle. Since then, this pickle has become my favourite.
We usually put the pickles in small jars. When we open the large ones, if we do not consume them quickly, they may spoil. That's why small jars are much more useful. It ends quickly and does not spoil.
Pickle; We make it with Rock Salt, lemon salt, vinegar, garlic and some water. We prefer vinegar to grape vinegar. After peeling the garlic, we make some holes in the peppers and place them in the jar. It's okay if you don't make holes in the peppers, but we make a few tiny holes because we want all the flavor to be filled inside. The important thing here is to compress the peppers by putting too much in the jar. Then, we add water to more than half of the jar and add vinegar, lemon salt (lemon juice can also be used) and rock salt. The sizes vary according to the jar and I will give you an estimated size since my mother usually makes eye decisions. You can use 5 tablespoons of vinegar, 2 tablespoons of rock salt, juice of 1 lemon or 1 teaspoon of lemon salt in a small jar.
Then we close the lid tightly and leave it to wait in a cool and dry environment. After a few weeks, the pickles are completely ready to eat. You can look at the colors to understand the pickles. When they start to happen, their colors start to change. If you want the pickles to last for a long time, make sure that your ingredients are good. Rotten peppers cause the marinade to spoil. Salt is the most basic substance that makes it last for a long time. You should not add less salt. The pickle you prepare in this way can be stored for 3-4 months without spoiling.
If you have run out of jars at home, you can also prepare pickles in plastic bottles like we do. Sometimes we apply this when the jars are not enough. After the pickles are made, our priority is to open the plastic bottles and consume them. Since the mouth is narrow, we cut it in half and start eating. We keep the leftovers in a bowl with water to eat for another day.
We prepared our first pickles for the winter. We will continue to prepare our pickles as we go to the local markets and the hot peppers in our garden grow. Thank you in advance for reading and supporting. Take good care of yourself.
love.
TÜRKÇE
Merhabalar.
sevgiler.
