I just finished a 6.584km running that lasted about 0hh:36mm:11ss !
Another day, another run. I was not dreading it as the legs are doing okay and I generally feel fine. My bruised toe has shed the nail, but it looks like a new one is growing and there is no pain there. The main issue tends to be getting out of bed, but once I am up I just head out, although I had to attend to the cat first.
I was going to do the 30-20-10 intervals, but decided to improvise with some fartlek instead. The first sprint was down the length of House Lane and I managed my second best time on that segment. It is still not great, but then I am not really warmed up when I get there. I did a series of sprints along the cyclepath to Stotfold. The pace graph is very up and down, showing that I was achieving a substantial change. Some of the sprints were quite short, but from what I have read that is still valuable.
There seemed to be a lot of teenagers walking from Stotfold toward Arlesey. They may have been heading for the station. It is a brighter day today with mostly blue skies. Despite this it was not too warm for me.
I think doing the slower run yesterday allowed me to recover enough to perform better today. I think I will take it easy tomorrow and then take Saturday off. A whole week of running is an achievement. I will have done over a marathon in total. Mind you, I found a guy from India on Strava who was running three times each day totalling around 30km. He had managed to keep this up for at least a month. That is a different league. I feel no need to beat what others are doing as I have my own goals.
Fun free and stay well.
