...in his books. We just watched this cool BBC documentary that will be available on-line in the UK, but others around the world may have to wait. I'll say that it was very well done. We were a little wary of having actor Paul Kaye playing Terry and quoting him, but it worked. They also talked to lots of people who worked with him, including Neil Gaiman who was almost in tears talking about his old friend. Definitely worth a watch for fans. You may well shed a tear. There is a spoiler if you haven't read his final book, but I expect most have.
I've read all the books and my wife has re-read them. There's so much going on in them that they reward the effort. They also featured various fans at one of the many conventions. He was very loyal to his fans and must have signed millions of books.
In 1995 we attended what may have been one of the first fan events at the CLarecraft pottery where they made models of the characters. We painted some ourselves and got to meet the man as he signed books. Some people had brought their whole collection. He took time to talk to everyone.
We hadn't even thought to take a book and so bought one there.
