Well, sort of. When I started our pub session it was with the hope of meeting musicians I could collaborate with. I've been inspired by the people I've met there to learn more songs and to write some of my own.
One of our stars is Steve O'Grady who is an experienced performer and a fine interpreter of songs. He's pretty nifty with a loop pedal. For this cover of a Bryan Ferry song he asked me so provide some solos. The original had saxophone and harmonica solos, but we went for guitar. He sent me his recording and I did several versions that he picked from. Here's the result. It takes a while to build as he lays down some loops.
I used my Benford Telecaster through a Belcat tube amp. Recorded by a Zoom H4 into Audacity.
We performed it live at our open mic night, but had a few technical issues. We may well try again some time. We plan to work on another song soon.
