Yesterday was my first day off with my daughters over their summer term. Thankfully my mobility had improved enough for out planned trip around Norwich. I've been promising 13 a trip to Wagamama for around 3 years, but for one reason or another we've never made it there. She finally got her wish and we had a rather large feast of different things.
She thoroughly enjoyed it. Amazingly, her 15 year old sister who is incredibly fussy with food also enjoyed her bowl of ramen (well most of it).
15 also got to drool over a rather amazing guitar shop that I never knew existed. If I had, we'd probably have visit Norwich far more frequently!
Cookes had a really impressive selection of guitars and we spent the best part of an hour in there. 15 treated herself to more picks (most of hers end up in the washing machine). I bought a new strap.
Slowly but surely she has been "inheriting" my guitars over the past few years as she fancied them over picking new ones from a store. On that basis I recently picked a new one from a store. I picked a 1960's Gibson Inspired Epiphone Les Paul as an alternative to my Benford which is now hers. I've avoided using the word "replacement", nothing could ever replace my Steve Benford.
A rather scary photo of me with it below!
Today it was a trip to the local crematorium for lunch. Another pick by youngest - she absolutely loves their tuna, may and onion toastie. It has become the place she wants to visit every school holiday. We had milkshakes today too...which neither of us could make a dent in. Elder daughter had her standard glass of tap water.
Tomorrow we're off to a nature reserve to walk of the milkshakes and see some highland cattle.
