We were up in Leicester today dropping off stuff for my student daughter. After unloading we went for lunch in The Old Horse. Of course I had to have a beer, but it was only a small one as I had to drive. They had a good selection and this was very tasty.
The pub is pretty quirky. They have a coffin table.
And a fox on the ceiling, along with walking sticks, teapots and many hats.
They do a substantial Sunday lunch. There's a veggie option of cauliflower cheese, but you still get all the veg.
We've been there before, but the pub featured in a recent video by the band Kasabian. It's at around 1:35. The video features a few places around the town that we've been to. Some time we will check out the exhibit about Richard III whose grave was found there a few years back. He's now buried in the cathedral.
