It is feeling very autumnal now with the trees changing colour and lots of fallen leaves. The path from Fairfield to Letchworth has lots of mud on it. The farmers are busy either harvesting or preparing fields and they may have crossed the path in various places with their machines. There were at least a half dozen vehicles working there including a tracked tractor.
I took the Greenway on the way back to avoid the busy road. A fair few people were out walking their dogs. I also saw some groups a cyclists and a few runners.
The pace was nothing special today as my legs felt heavy. I did speed up a bit at times. Stopping for photos or to cross roads affected the times a bit, but it does not matter to me.
I do not mind mornings like this as long as it is not raining. I warm up so I do not need lots of layers. Others may be in hats and gloves. We each find what works for us.
