So, another week ends or another week begins depending on how you view Sundays. I think I fall into the latter camp as I often start planning my week ahead on a Sunday morning. It's the one day I get to stay in bad for as long as I like so I tend to do a bunch of admin; I have to ensure my food diary is up-to-date for fatty club and also share evidence that I've completed the challenges set for the previous week. It's also cheat day so I can do so with a nice bacon sandwich!

As of now I've managed to record 47.19 miles of walking for the week just gone. Fingers crossed that'll be over 50 by the end of today. It's a lovely morning so I'll aim to go get my steps in shortly and plan to head out with my camera instead of relying on my phone.

Although from my usual beach walk, I thought I'd be a little different today. It was beautifully misty yesterday morning which was perfect for some black and white images.

I'd just let Lola off her lead at this point so she was off to sniff every stone, rock and chunk of seaweed she could find. I always have to inspect the area first to ensure there aren't any seals around. Lola wouldn't hurt them, but she would go have a sniff and get a little excitable - that's not fair on them.

It was dull on the coast but I could see a glorious glow on the horizon where the sun had burnt through some cloud and the light was reflecting off the sea.

It was a morning of lovely reflections and the sea was so calm. It's days like yesterday that I wish I had a paddleboard as the conditions were perfect. No to little breeze and the tide was just turning, starting to head in. The currents around here are tricky so if one isn't careful, they could easily find themselves heading out to the wind farm when the tide is heading out and the wind picks up from the west.

I think I captured the sun bouncing off the sea a little better here.

I captured a few lovely images in colour but will save them for another day. All photos taken on iPhone 11 Pro and edited in Adobe Lightroom, also on my phone.
