That was an crazy morning! While I was running this early morning I was thinking how much graditute I feel for so many people both here from hive but also in the offline world. Currently we don’t have the time nor funds to do some activities with the kids during their schoolholiday - which would just be what it is right now, but some of the parents from the classmates decided to take our kids to different activities so that they have a great time and we can get some extra time to rest. This weekend the kids were taken to the movies and where having a sleep over. I suddenly had time for a longer run (I thought…)
Well first part of the run went well, it felt easier compared to the 11 km I did at the start of the week. Suddenly, a wasp flew into my mouth; as I tried to spit it out, it stung my tongue. It was instantly very painful, and I started vomiting and feeling short of breath. I called my wife (haha—with a swollen tongue and slurred speech) to pick me up, and I ended up going to the emergency room. Eventually, they removed the stinger and checked me over before sending me home. It was quite a scare, though (and it’s still painful five hours later).
I take it with some humor as it luckely worked out ok… just feedback to close my mouth more often (especially while running)
Other than that first part of the run was fun!
The sceduled 6th chemo will most likely be postponed another week so my wife can recover a little more, which is probably for the best as she will need more energy compared to what she has right now. So another week! 🙏 (and hopefully last chemo end of September!)
