Feels like I've written a few of these posts this year but there we go, here's another! I've not been spending much time on this whereabouts as, to be honest I think I've been going a little bonkers and have needed a change.

Last week saw the kids going back to school so there was much preparation to get them ready for "the new normal". Both have had a thoroughly good week and fingers crossed it continues. The preparations for dealing with COVID a their school are just fantastic, they've done an amazing job in an attempt to keep a level of normality but keep everybody safe at the same time.
In the meantime I had some good news on the job front late last week. My old employer has asked me to help deliver a couple of projects so I'm signed up to 6 months of work. It doesn't make the "unemployed" issue go away, but at least it buys me a little time and hopefully gives me a chance to build up some resources. Things would become a little scary over the next few months.
I've spent far too much time playing games on my PC ... and enjoying it! OK it isn't necessarily time well spent but it's great to take ones mind off things. I'm a a fan of driving games so have spent lots of time playing Assetto Corsa. I have been a little naughty and treated myself to a wheel, set of pedals and a shifter.

Driving can be really tricky using a gamepad and my accuracy and times are improving using this wheel made my Logitech. The pedals include a clutch and I've also bought the H-pattern shifter (stick shift). It's pretty immersive and very addictive.
I think that's about all I have to report for now. It feels very odd that tomorrow is Monday and I need to be up for work! I'll be signing off for a reasonably early night.
