I needed a new game to distract me from the world and there’s something about Cyberpunk 2077 that fills that need. Maybe it’s the neon glow of Night City, maybe it’s the sense of freedom, or maybe it’s just how immersive the whole experience feels, but whatever it is, I genuinely love playing this game even If I was late to the party.
From the moment I step into Night City, it feels alive. The streets are packed with people, the skyline is layered with towering megabuildings, and every corner seems to hide a story. It’s not just a setting it’s a vibe. It's weird to say but I have spend hours cruising through the city on a motorcycle at night just taking take it all in. The level of choice reminds me a lot like GTA. I can approach missions however I want and that freedom makes every play session feel different which I have not found in many games. What I've learned is even small decisions can ripple out in unexpected ways, which keeps things interesting and personal.
The characters are another big reason I enjoy the game. They don’t feel like placeholders they feel realer. I love FFX games for the same reasons the conversations carry weight, relationships develop over time, and the story hits harder because of it. It’s easy to get invested in what’s happening, not just as a player, but as someone experiencing the world alongside them (Sorry Jackie).
I'm only 60 hour into the game but I cant wait to finish this first play though.
