For a while now I have been playing both Flex City and OneLion, and the more I play the more I notice that although both games are trying to give you that open world roleplay experienc but they don’t really feel the same.
The first picture is Onelion RP while the second one is Flexcity RP… looking at this two screenshots I took from the game you’ll notice that there are real big differences between the two games.
OneLion has a slightly more realistic and detailed visual style… The roads, mountains, buildings and even the car itself give the game a more serious driving atmosphere like that of GTA 5. The Mercedes in the screenshot looks pretty clean, and when you’re driving around the map, the environment can sometimes make it feel more like you’re actually travelling through a city. But Flex City on the other hand has a brighter and more colourful look…. We can see palm trees, clean roads and city environment give it a different kind of atmosphere… It feels more like a game designed around having fun in an open world rather than trying to makes everything look completely realistic… And to be honest the graphics is one major part of the comparison.
In Flex City there is a strong social side to the game… You can meet with other players, build relationships, join gangs or groups, make money, customise your character and cars, and just spend time doing random things around the city. Sometimes I can enter the game without even having a particular mission in mind… I just drive around and see what happens, sometimes or most times ending up in a 1v1 or gang vs gang fight.
OneLion on the other hand gives me a slightly different feeling…The driving experience feels like a bigger part of the attraction, especially when moving I’m around the large map. There is also the whole roleplay and multiplayer side, but the atmosphere feels different from Flex City. on Onelion you can be a doctor, nurse, police, gangster or the Government. Giving you chances to role playing with other people with same interests. But Flexcity on the other hand one has the police faction and the gangster… I would rate Onelion 90/100 while Flexcity 20/100…
But what interests me the most is how both games make you feel while playing and this is where comparing the two becomes interesting for real. I don’t think you can simply look at one screenshot and say one game is better than the other truth be told. They are just trying to give players similar things, but their way of approach makes the experience different…. Even the interfaces tell a story.
On OneLion interface feels more packed with information while Flex City’s interface feels a little cleaner to me when I’m actually driving even the cars also have their own differences in how they look and feel, and that is something I would actually like to explore more instead of judging both games from screenshots alone….
So now I’m left feeling curious about what other players think about this two games.
