We started picking the most reddish and soft peaches on the tree. Many of them are split but others came out without issue.

The ones that did not split we put in a bucket and collected about two dozen Peaches. Not all were ripe enough so we left most of them on the tree.

I think the splitting has to do with the frost damaged flowers. Maybe some of them got burned and grew misformed fruit. About half of them were affected by this.

To see the peaches we had to look under the canopy and squeeze them to see how ripe they were.

Since the tree was planted down the hill it grew towards the sun and over a five foot ledge. Making them nearly at foot height.

Lovely Logic and I are talking about what to do with them. Maybe make a jam or maybe a cobbler. We still have many of them on the tree to harvest in the next few days.

They are still a little green but I think they will ripen up over the next few days.

Walter was more curious about them. Smelling them to figure out what they are.
