We are approaching a month into flower now, and those buds are forming and starting to get some weight to them. Sativas need a long time to grow, sometimes up to three months of flower. So we are looking at another two months right now for those buds to form into a proper cola. But we are seeing the start of it now.

The Blue Dream plant is also flowering, good to see it coming along as well. Even if its a fraction of the size of the three Desfran plants. Curious to see how the buds turn out.

The plant has not got that much taller, I am quite surprised. But those bud stalks are growing up more, so there is still a stretch going on with them.. Just not as pronounced as I would expect.

The ones to the center of the plant look quite strong, but the ones along the side I think are going to bend over. Wish I had my net setup for this grow.

From a far not much to see besides just some large bushes.

There has been some stresses occurring, the weather here has been quite brutal. Days are usually last 95F for the last month. And I think as soon as the plant started flowering it was quite hard on it.

These plants really do not want to be much over 85F, so I think the intense summer here has been hard on them.

Luckily most colas do not look like this, most look great.

20260910_115139.jpg

I checked under the leaves and the stems for any signs of caterpillars or boarers.

20260910_115144.jpg

Everything looked fine to me, so I think its stress.

20260910_115157.jpg

The buds themselves seem fine, but the sugar leaves turned brown really early on that one cola.

20260910_115211.jpg

Though I just hate seeing colas like this so early. When they are half way through flower its more common.

20260910_115347.jpg

But most of the plant looks great, like these.

Loving seeing all that resin form and the sugar leaves coming up.

20260910_115356.jpg

This grow has been a lot of fun.

20260910_115403.jpg

And the smell is starting to pick up, right now I can smell them a few feet away. But that will increase in range as they get more dank.

20260910_115408.jpg

I wonder how big these buds will get, based on the size of the plant I think quite large.

Lastly we have a short video clip of them swaying around in the wind. Hope they can handle it, gets quite breezy as the seasons change. And I expect these sativas to take until possibly November to finish growing.
