Desfrán – Day 153

These plants are now forming buds, they are small but up close you can see them and smell them. Its pretty amazing how big these plants have grown. And now they are going to flower, I am really excited to see how big the buds get on these monster sized cannabis plants. With so many leaves and the thick stalks I think it should be quite impressive when they are done in a few months. But I do hope they also finish before the frosts set in around late October. So lots going on between now and then.

The forth plant is coming along, quite a bit behind from the others..

Here we can see the buds forming.

Soon I am going to count the buds and see how many I have.

Seen some yellowing but its only in one spot on one plant. Will keep an eye on it.

Seeing them stretch I wonder how tall they will get as well. So far they have been quite compact.

They are so leafy, so I think they should produce some really big buds.

This strain has been a lot of fun to grow, curious to see if a pure sativa helps me with the bud rot issue I have had in previous outdoor grows.

Hoping this little one ends up being a female and flowers as well. It is a feminized Blue dream plant, but they ended up going to seed some how. So maybe this one will too. Hard to say, will need to see how it plays out for this little plant. Its just too early to tell if its a male or female yet. Man feels good to be growing in The South, that red clay is quite unique and glad I can grow here legally.

Work being done in the grow tent as well:

I have installed a larger SCROG net, the previous was four feet by four feet. But with a bigger tent it would not be enough. So I got myself a 5x5 two tier net now. One has bigger squares and the other has smaller ones. You put the bigger squared netting below and the smaller squares on top. This allows you to train them through both netting to provide support.

Another grow light was installed as well. Now I have two 5x5 LED lights in the 5x9 grow tent. This will allow me to grow the plants in a straight line, instead of a square shape I was doing previously. This should give the plants more room between each other to grow more.

But for now I am focused on my plants outside. Now is the time their buds are forming and lots of their energy they have stored up is going into those flowers. Soon I hope to see the buds grow and I hope the best for them throughout their flowering period.
