Here is a cold winter sunset for this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay
This time I visited a marsh that was frozen over just in time to catch the last of the light.
The evening colors made some nice highlights on the ice crystals.
A loner goose decided to break through the thin ice for a cold swim. It was the only one out on the marsh, the rest are probably at a river nearby where it hasn't frozen over yet.
There is a large water tower looming over the marsh that supplies water to a small suburb area off in the distance.
Here you can see some of the house silhouettes along the tree line as well as some of the crazy sky colors.
Towards the end of the walk the sky really started lighting up.
The forest area blocked most of the view of the sky but it produced some interesting silhouettes.
This was the last of the color.
Now I started focusing on trying to catch the moon with my zoom lens. Surprisingly it turned out pretty clear.
Then I started trying to get some branches with the moon. This one turned out a bit blurry but it got an interesting purple hue with the last of the light when it was zoomed out.
This branch shot turned out interesting with the branch almost fading out because the camera focused on the moon instead. If only there was an owl silhouette to capture with the moon.
