The summer rains are keeping flowers in the forest nice and watered.
The bumblebees are doing well this year.
This one is loaded up with pollen on its legs.
Jewelweed is growing abundantly. This stuff is useful for treating poison ivy as the juice from their leaves seems to counteract the oils of poison ivy. They also have a nice looking flower.
Here is a strange wildflower I've never seen before. Tiny little wasps were crawling over them for pollen.
Here is some butterfly weed aka orange milkweed. Sadly no butterflies were swarming it probably because the rains soaked them the day before.
These are the flowers I see at the train station nearly every day. The early morning sun lights them up nicely before I have to go into the concrete jungle.
These roses are also at the train station. I was trying to get a clear shot of the bumblebee but it buried itself deep inside.
Here is a yellow hibiscus my neighbor decided to plant in the community planters.
I found these strage blue flowers by the lake.
I think these are morning glories. They open up in the morning then close when the sun comes out to avoid getting roasted.
I'm not sure what kind of flower this is. It sort of looks like a hibiscus but this is much larger and it seems to also open and close with the sun.
