Hail to the Hive!

Recently our life has been through another big change and has resulted in my lack of hive posting, something I need to correct. We recently sold our Narrowboat ' Badger' and have temporarily moved down to Devon to stay with our buddy @diveratt.

Being the bad influence that he is @diveratt suggested a walk to one of the local pubs and with it being a Saturday I thought this was indeed a splendid idea so off we popped.

The walk down to the pub started with a little wooded trail that was a pleasant change from the surrounding streets.

It's a popular spot for dog walkers, and maybe doggers too for all I know.

For a temporary time you feel you are in the middle of the countryside and then abrubtly.....

you emerge back into traffic and bustle.

We descended into the 80's subway walk monstrosity, very ugly and bleak.

Fearlessly @diveratt enters the subterranean hell hole.....

I hope this walk is worth it

Once we emerge from the bleakness there a glimpses of the glorious past of the area.

And there just ahead is what I believe to be a beer oasis.

It is! and it's not a mirage.

And glorious it is.

Look at all this beauty!

After a weird walk I decided to go for a Weird Walk.

A very refreshing 5.2% unfiltered slightly hoppy pale ale.

I'm afraid I really don't have the words to describe just how delicious this beer was.

And look at all the take home options as well. This is indeed a paeadise

All this and Hot Nuts too!

Next Wednesday we are headed back and will be doing a Wednesday Walk to the Maltings and sampling many more of the offerings from this Temple Of Beery Excellence.

Oh and I shall do my best to get back into the Hive Posting rhythm now that we have got into a new groove down here in Devon.
