Hail to the Hive!
It’s now our third morning here on this stretch of the Coventry Canal and we are still waiting for the second engineer from the River and Canal rescue to come and see what’s what.
Luckily it is a nice spot and we have coffee, cooking gas and the means to make a good brew of the black stuff. If this I am eternally grateful.
With any luck we will get some clarity on what the actual problem is today and be able to get moving very soon. As nice a spot as this is, I’d very much like to get moving.
We are only about 15km from where we need to be so if the worst case scenario happens and we can’t get going soon I will see if I can get someone to tow us. If nothing else it would be a fun adventure.
So I think I will make another coffee and watch the boats that can actually move pass by.
