Morning, A Cup of Coffee
A new day begins; it promises to be quite a challenging one, as there are various situations that need to be addressed. For this reason, I couldn’t leave the house without first having a good breakfast—one that would recharge my energy, fill me with good spirits, and at the same time give me plenty of patience. And for this, the aroma and flavor of a good cup of coffee are essential.

Coffee is the quintessential drink Venezuelans use to wake up every day; its aroma fills our homes with the first rays of the morning sun, and its flavor drives away the spirits of laziness and infuses us with renewed energy. It is precisely a good morning cup of coffee that gives us the boost we sometimes need to face life’s difficulties, the monotony of our existence, and the complexities of an ever-changing environment—a society, in short, that breeds conflict.
A homemade breakfast, yet with an incredible flavor—the kind I might have found at any downtown café—but with the difference that here, in the heart of my home, I didn’t have to pay a single thing. Today’s coffee was quite strong; unlike other days, it wasn’t as sweet, so it was perfect for fully waking up, better appreciating its flavor, and enjoying a moment where tranquility and peace are what matter most.
A good cup of coffee and a good breakfast, both prepared with love, are the ideal fuel for a day when you head out into the world with your head held high, eager to succeed and to come out on top in all those situations that seem so difficult—but which, in reality, sometimes only require a little patience, a bit of care, and a lot of love to resolve.
