Hello, friends at Cinnamon Cup Coffee and all the coffee lovers who are part of this beautiful community—I hope you’re all doing great! I’m stopping by today to share a very special review of a coffee brand I picked up over the weekend and had been carefully saving to unveil today.

Those of you who know me well and follow my posts know perfectly well that, for me, Mondays are a true fresh start. It’s that time of the week when we start from scratch, organize new projects, prepare our weekly schedule, and fill ourselves with positive energy to tackle the days ahead. And what better way to kick off that planning than with a fresh cup of coffee first thing in the morning?

A Timely Encounter at the Supermarket

I took advantage of the start of the week to try the Café Damasco brand. Honestly, I’d already heard about it in various places; however, I hadn’t had the chance to try it at home yet. That all changed this weekend during a routine trip to the supermarket, when I came across a promotional booth where a sales representative was offering live tastings to customers.

For me, having a sales representative offer live tastings was a huge plus. It gives us, as consumers, the certainty and peace of mind that we’re taking home a product of proven quality. It’s happened to me before—since we coffee lovers are always trying new brands to discover different flavor profiles—that I’ve had bad experiences. Sometimes you buy something based solely on advertising, and when you get home and brew it, it turns out to be weak or too light for my taste. That ends up forcing me to use twice as much ground coffee per brew, causing the package to run out twice as fast.

Since I’m super curious and always on the lookout for high-quality new products to recommend here, I stopped to chat with the young woman. She explained the product’s characteristics in detail before inviting me to try a freshly brewed cup right there.

Origin, Technical Characteristics, and Cup Tasting

As I chatted with her and learned more about the brand, I discovered some very interesting details about what I was tasting:

Origin and variety: It’s a 100% gourmet, single-origin coffee, made with carefully selected Arabica beans grown in Ospino, Portuguesa State.

Roast and grind: It features a medium roast and a fine grind, which gives it that perfect balance between strength and smoothness on the palate.

Actual yield: It’s an extremely high-yield coffee; its concentration and body mean that just 100 grams yield approximately one liter of coffee without losing intensity.

Tasting it firsthand gave me the confidence I was looking for. From the very first sip, I could tell this was a high-end coffee, with a robust flavor, character, and a penetrating aroma that’s noticeable the moment it’s poured. That’s why, unlike other times when—out of caution—I usually buy the smallest 100-gram package to play it safe and avoid wasting money in case it turns out to be bad, this time—thanks to the tasting—I bought the largest size without hesitation so it would last me longer throughout the week.

My 6:00 a.m. Morning Routine and the Final Verdict

Earlier today, opening the package in my kitchen was a great experience. Since I’m a pretty busy woman, my days start practically at 6:00 a.m. My daily routine is to wake up at that time, wake up my son to get him ready for school, and head straight to the kitchen to set up the traditional moka pot.

I make it a habit to open the window by my front door right at that time. I like to do this so the morning sun helps me reset my circadian rhythm, signaling to my body that it’s a new day, a new dawn. The combination of the sun streaming in and the aroma of coffee wafting through the air gives me that immediate mental boost.

What’s incredible about this Café Damasco is how its fragrance spreads. At that quiet hour, the entire atmosphere of my apartment was filled with a delicious scent that even wafted out into the hallways and beyond the building. Anyone passing by at that time surely noticed the aroma of freshly brewed coffee.

I really appreciate finding brands like this, because the coffee I brew isn’t for sale; it’s an exclusive treat for me, my family, and to spoil my closest friends when they visit in the afternoons to share a good chat.

In conclusion:

Aroma: Intense, enveloping, and very pleasant.

Flavor: Full-bodied, with excellent presence and no heavy bitterness.

Texture: Dense and high-end.

Would I definitely buy it again? Of course I would—as soon as I run out, I’ll go get more because it’s easy to find in several supermarkets. I wholeheartedly recommend this option to all coffee lovers if you’re looking for something that goes a long way and has the authentic taste of Venezuelan coffee.

I’ll be bringing you more reviews of great brands and coffee shops soon so you’ll always have reliable options when it’s time to buy. Thanks for reading!

I’m Yelimarín, and I’ll see you next time. Have a productive week filled with great coffee!
