I have been single for nine going on 10 years.
But recently. I decided to try a dating again.
This is difficult for me because I hate being on my phone and I hate dating. I did go on a date, though, and we decided to have coffee at a local mall. I hate malls even more than I hate dating or being on my phone.
The day before we were going to meet, I mentioned to the person I was supposed to have that coffee with that I'm an outdoor girl and prefer nature. I added that I wished there was a walk nearby that we could take instead of having to navigate a shopping mall.
He quickly came back with a suggestion of a coffee shop at a place called Sherwood Gardens that had a walk included. And so we decided to meet there instead.
After seeing this place I was really glad he suggested it.

The plants are part of a garden nursery that you walk through to get to the main area, and they decorate the entire interior of the atrium. It is beautiful!

I was so enamoured with it that I took my mom there, a short while afterwards, to show her the place.
It's a lovely environment to meet and share a very good coffee. Preferably with a slice of one of their amazingly delicious cakes.
This is the first-date table that we sat at which was a in private, little-bit-removed enclave that served as a great meeting point for a first rendezvous.
But when I took my mom there I didn't gravitate to this area all. I did consider it, but instead we took a table in the main area for this visit. I guess it's because I don't like dating and, also, the initial meeting went pretty well and that table just felt more personal after the initial experience.
The second experience also had coffee involved that was just as good and the cakes were definitely worth returning for.
In fact this very week I made a special trip down to the coffee shop just to buy pice of the caramel cheesecake that I had on my second visit.
Worth returning for takeaways.
It even has shopping for those of you that like malls, including a well stocked second hand bookshop for you to buy something to read while you enjoy their moreish coffee.
