Urban Cats
Modern cities are a particularly hostile environment for homeless pets, since the streets are a place where the rules of nature change completely; here, survival depends not only on instinct, but luck also plays a major role. Unfortunately, there are dogs and kittens doomed to roam among the concrete and asphalt, becoming aimless souls who have learned to adapt to their circumstances—but the incredible thing about all this is that their essence is never lost, and their love remains unblemished.

Gatos Urbanos
Las ciudades modernas son un ambiente especialmente hostil para las mascotas que no tienen hogar, puesto que las calles son un entorno en donde las reglas de la naturaleza cambian por completo; acá no solo se depende del instinto, sino que también la suerte tiene mucho que ver. Desafortunadamente, hay perros y gatitos que están condenados a vagar entre el concreto y el asfalto, convirtiéndose en almas sin rumbo que han aprendido a adaptarse a sus circunstancias, pero lo increíble de todo esto es que la esencia jamás se pierde y el amor es intachable.
I came across this group of kittens on one of the boulevards in the northern part of the city; anyone might think they’re aggressive little felines whose behavior has been shaped by the harsh realities of the urban environment. But the truth is, they’re still adorable kittens who enjoy the company of someone who gives them love, treats them with affection, and feeds them.
Este grupo de gatitos me lo encontré en uno de los bulevares al norte de la ciudad; cualquiera pudiera pensar que se trata de pequeños felinos agresivos con comportamientos moldeados por las circunstancias difíciles del entorno urbano. Pero la verdad es que siguen siendo gatitos adorables que disfrutan de la compañía de una persona que les brinda amor, los trate con cariño y les regale algo de comer.

Por instinto natural, se reúnen en manadas y afrontan juntos las vicisitudes de un mundo que estoy muy seguro es implacable, pero en el cual también existimos personas con un corazón sensible y un profundo amor por aquellos que más lo necesitan. Es así como aproveché unos minutos para darles todo mi cariño y lo más lindo de todo esto es que se trata de un gesto recíproco; mientras yo acaricio pancitas, ellos se acercan empujándome con suavidad, maullando en búsqueda de algo y disfrutando en un momento sencillo, pero al mismo tiempo muy valioso.
Stray cats and dogs are deeply noble souls who just need a little of our love so that, even if only for a moment, they can put aside some of their insecurities, leave behind their daily stress, and receive a small dose of love that helps them keep on living amid the hardships imposed by humans.
Los gatos y perros que se encuentran en situación de calle son almas profundamente nobles, las cuales solo necesitan de un poco de nuestro amor, para así, aunque sea por un instante, borrar algunas inseguridades, dejar atrás los niveles diarios de estrés y recibir una pequeña dosis de amor que los ayude a continuar viviendo en medio de las dificultades impuestas por el hombre.
