Greetings, Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!
Another weekend is upon us, and that means that we've had yet another Caturday, my favorite day of the week... because we get to share pictures of our feline friends!
Cats in the hallway
All in all we've had a pretty quiet week around here except for the fact that the Mom-Hooman hurt her shoulder so the Hoomans had to make a trip to the emergency room a couple of days ago to see what the matter was.
Thankfully nothing was broken, but now she's having to wear her arm in a sling for a few days and take it very easy.
That's actually fine by me because it means that she's gonna be sitting still most of the time, offering up a Hooman lap for a cat to have a nap on, and get extra attention!
It has been a very blustery day around here with high winds and colder temperatures along with periodic showers and then the sun would come out and it all made it very unpredictable as to when there would be a sunny spot for anybody to take a nap in!
Shangri, making the most of his day
The Dad-Hooman has been doing his best to do photography and get things done with his so-called "eBay listings," and I have done my best to be in the middle of everything he has been doing, with a little extra assistance from Shangri who keeps wondering what it is I find so interesting.
Helping with the layout
Being younger cats Shangi and Nala haven't quite been to "Cat University" as much as me, so they don't fully have an appreciation for how important it is to be in the middle of whatever project a Hooman is working on.
However, they are fully aware of the importance of "3:00AM bread making on the Hooman's belly" technique which always gets a satisfactory response.
Nala wants to play!
Well, time really flies whether you're having fun or not. Earlier today we were reflecting on the fact that it has already been almost four years since Smudge came to live with us, and she was already a "senior cat" when she arrived.
As you may recall, Smudge's original Hooman mom moved out of the country, and didn't feel like it would be fair to an old cat to be moved to primitive settings in the jungles of the Dominican Republic and that's how Smudge ended up with us.
Smudge!
She's really quite remarkable for her age, and will be celebrating her 22nd birthday this coming February.
Otherwise, life just unfolds in its usual way around here. The Hoomans have somewhat of a break before they start back up on their "creative events" schedule after Thanksgiving.
Having a nap on the ironing board!
And that's about all we have for this weekend update! We hope you have a had a wonderful Caturday with your feline friends, and hope to see you again soon!
In the meantime, have a wonderful Sunday!

Love Cats? Get Involved in Hive's Cat Communities!
If you're a cat lover and often/sometimes post pictures or other content that includes your feline friends, why not become an active part of Hive's growing Cat Communities?
These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Many of the allow you to share your cat posts, even if you started at a different community!
HiveCats by @curatorcat is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!
Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!
Caturday by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!
Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS!
Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community.
There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
