Greetings, Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

We hope everybody has had a good week, and that you are all happy and well as we enter into this weekend and with that another Caturday!

It has been quite cold and windy today, and the Hoomans have finally broken down and turned on the whole house heater, which means we've been competing to lay next to the heating vents!

It is at times like this that we're all very grateful to be indoor cats. I can't even imagine how miserable it must be to be out and trying to survive as a street cat when it is wet and cold.

Today, the Dad-Hooman has been working on one of my favorite things for him to be working on: his business that involves lots of little pieces of paper that he calls ”stamps.”

Apparently there are other Hoomans out there who collect these things and the Dad-Hooman trades with them and gets money in the process, which means we have the ability to buy cat treats and more cat food.

And that can only be a good thing! After all, it would be a catastrophe if the supply of cat food would fall too low!

Anyway, I love being part of what he works on and I can stand in the middle of all the little pieces of paper and supervise... but I just don't understand why he's not more appreciative of my help.

Meanwhile, the Mom-Hooman is finally feeling better after her recent outpatient surgery and she is back to working on her creative items as well. It is always good to have options as to which Hooman to spend time with!

On the whole, we've had a pretty quiet week around here, and we cats are really noticing how the days are getting shorter especially when we have heavy clouds like now.

We actually let the Hoomans sleep in till almost 9:00 this morning because it was so dark that we didn't realize that it was time for breakfast!

Meanwhile, the Hoomans seem very concerned with this thing going on in the outside world where there are lots of Hoomans who are choosing other Hoomans to make decisions for them on supposedly "important" things.

As a cat, I have to admit that I just can't make head or tail of this whole thing they call ”politics.” Thankfully, we cats don't have politics!

Although if we did, I'd definitely be voting for more cat treats, and a cat jungle gym in every home!
