Greetings, Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

Well, here we are! We've made it to another weekend and that means we've made it to another Caturday, my favorite day of the week for sharing cat pictures with everybody!

Did you know that Caturday has now been an online tradition for more than 20 years?

It started in 2005 on the anonymous 4chan image boards, making it older than the public versions of Facebook and Twitter/X, and almost as old as YouTube!

It's amazing how we get a hold of an idea and before you know it it turns into something that could virtually be described as a cultural icon.

Anyway, I hope you've all had a good week and made it to the weekend unscathed. Maybe that sounds a bit dramactic, but these days you never know what's going to happen!

Naptime!

It has been a mostly quiet week around here, although it did involve a trip for the Mom-Hooman to go to the local emergency room to have a minor surgical procedure performed. This was different and separate from the arm injury she had, the week before.

She is recovering well, and is spending a good bit of her recovery time binge watching old episodes of the TV show Grey's Anatomy. I like this activity very much because it means that there is a good lap for me to sleep in most of the day!

The weather around here has been very fall-like as of late, with breezy days with intermittent rain and sunshine; the leaves are starting to fall off the trees.

We like to sit by the windows and watch them blow by while being grateful that we are indoor house cats and don't have to be out in the wet and cold.

In case you missed it, yesterday was Global Cat Day which is a special day for cats, originally started by the charity Alley Cat Allies.

We're always in support of any organization that helps stray cats find their way to shelters and subsequently on to good and loving forever homes.

The Dad-Hooman is continuing his work on his art, saying that he wants to "stay on top of it" before the holiday events roll around in November.

I take my part of the process very seriously, making ayre that all piece will be sold and shipped with at least one cat hair included — for absolutely free!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
