This is Exploring the Chaos where I take a look on Chaos Legion cards including thier subsets such as Riftwatchers and the Reward cards, as they brought new abilities and strategies that changes how the game was played.
Last time, I have talked about the old card rewards that we usually get on our daily and season chest and how they were used as well as their importance to the meta. Now, I will be reviewing the new Soulbound rewards card which replaces them, offering new possibilities to the game and for this post, I will be taking a look at the Death Soulbound Rewards.
Flying will give Usut 25% chance to evade melee and range attacks.
Bloodlust will increase all the stats of Usut by 1 for each monsters it defeats.
Oppress deals double damage on opponents with no damage.
Heal restores the health of Usut every round.

Ranged attacks may be used in the first position in battles.
For this 36 mana battle, While we have Armored Up that increases the armor of all monsters and Close Range that allows range monsters to attack at first position, we also have Melee Mayhem which allows melee monsters to attack at any position and because of this, Possessed Puppet becomes very useful because not only it can attack even it's on the third position, it can also attack twice which also means of dealing extra damage to the opponent.
For the 2nd battle, we have a 14 mana cap match with Broken Arrows so range monsters cant be used while with Weak Magic, magic attacks will hit armor before health. We also have Back to Basics which means abilities cannot be used. Wily Cotian was able to serve as a low mana tank for this battle and even if it only has low health, due to the effects of the rule set, it's armor also served as a part of its health.
With This battle, we have 33 mana cap and the rule set includes Counterspell which deals damage to attaacking magic monsters, Keep Your Distance, that bans the use of melee monsters and Explosive weaponry which deals Blast damage to adjacent monsters of the target. Will-o-wisp serves as my tank for this battle as this card was has decent health and ill reduce the health of all opponent monsters with Weaken while also has an increased chance of evading monster attacks due to Flying while it is also quite a fast monster.
Final Thoughts
The New Death Soulbound Reward cards offers new sets of possibilities for the Life element with the addition of new abilities they posses adding to the meta. At the current level of my cards, I could say that they are not as effective as the previous elements when it comes to battle but if I will choose which card, I like within this set, it will be Ravenhood Warden for the armor and Will-o-wisp. one thing I'm looking for this set are cards with Martyr ability which surprisingly not exist within this monsters even of Death Element which is quite a bummer.
