-No supiste.
Claudia looked with admiration at the mushrooms that grew on a log that was in the square near the office. They always came out after the rains, lasted perhaps a few hours and died as soon as the sun shone...
Sitting at her desk, she sighed while she looked at the chair. Whenever it rained, the traffic became unbearable, but that day her car did not circulate due to the environmental contingency, so to make matters worse, she would have to go by taxi. .
-Two hours to go home and no light, I don't know why they don't give us the rest of the day off if we can't do anything anyway.-
Those two hours seemed eternal, but the wait was just beginning. Covered with a plastic bag, she waited impatiently for a taxi that never arrived, it was already seven thirty at night, no way, she would have to take the bus like the rest of us mortals.
Half an hour later public transport finally made its appearance, as fast as it could it made its way through the crowd.
-Let me pass- she shouted desperately.
-Miss, sit down, please - an old man told her kindly, but upon seeing the guy she would have to travel with, she preferred to stand.
-You kind of smells funny,- she said to a woman who was next to her.
-Hey, if you don't like it, go by taxi-
-I tried that, but with the rain it seems that no one wants to work. I waited two hours and nothing. I can't stand my legs anymore, they hurt a lot, I'm not used to it-
-Hey miss, the truth is I'm very worried about your situation-
-How kind, finally some empathy-
-Of course not, I was just being sarcastic-
-Me too of course. Wait. We've barely moved one block and we've been there for about half an hour!
-Yes, that's how it gets when it rains-
A tremendous blow suddenly interrupted the pleasant conversation. The truck had hit the inside of the uneven bridge they were passing over, leaving both doors blocked.
-Dear passengers, I ask you to calm down. It is raining heavily and the truck is broken down. I already spoke to the tow truck to be able to get out, because as you know, the doors are blocked-
Everything went black before her eyes and a second later she was on the ground.
"The princess has already fainted, get a doctor quickly," the lady shouted while she laughed.
-Yes, it's not going to be, just move her to a side where she won't get in the way-
Maybe it was for the best that she passed out, otherwise it would have been a long night.
Several hours later the driver woke up the lady to ask her to get out of the bus to wait for another...
That day Claudia decided not to go to work, a recurring nightmare tormented her daily until one day she decided to travel by bus to face her fears. On that occasion nothing in particular happened, she arrived at her house and decided to take a bath before going to bed.
-Hey, what was Claudia's, I haven't seen her in a while-
-You did not know. She had a heart attack while she was waiting for a taxi the day of the storm -...
-Yes, surely these mushrooms will also dry as soon as the sun rises-
