There are many good things about life that are unplanned for. In fact, a lot of the amazing things of life are not even planned for. You will agree with me that life has a very unique way of bringing out surprises even when we least expect them. More often than not, these surprises may not be welcoming at first, but as times go on and as things unfold, you will see the blessings in them. The truth is that for everything that happens in life, there is usually a reason to it. No matter how life plays out, there is usually a blessing in disguise in it. This is why, when things happen, you should learn to look beyond it and see what it represents.

A lot of people are only focused on their goals, aspirations, and what they want to achieve, but they do not see what life brings at them. Sometimes, when life throws a different things at them from what they had expected, they may become sad over it. But what they fail to understand is that, at that point, it is possible that life may even have a better plan for them and may even be leading them to something far much better than what they are expecting. This is why I believe that no matter what happens in life, there is usually a blessing in it if you can look beyond what has just happened and look at what it represents.
It is worthy to note that what may appear like a closed door to you might actually be a pathway that opens up to another good and better door. Of course, if a door closes, it is not final, because many other doors can actually open. You will be surprised to know that there are some level of blessings that you may never attain until something has left you. For instance, something may look like a failure or something bad on the outside, but it can actually set the pace for you to access something bigger. Why some people have not been able to access greatness may just be because they are still holding on to the little, and it has beclouded their mind from seeing the great. When you leave your comfort zone, you will explore the so much possibilities in life.
I have had stories of some renowned business entrepreneurs who faced a lot of rejections when they were getting started. In fact, some even failed a couple of times at the infancy period of their businesses. But through the lessons they learnt from it, they were able to build something great and make impact in the world of business. Someone once said that "you learn more lessons from failure than from lack of it." When something happens, two things are usually drawn from it - either you draw benefits from it or you draw lessons. So no single happening in life is without something to draw from it. When the unexpected happens, try to turn it into your ally and learn lessons from it.

There was a time when one of my friends told me a story about what happened at his former place of work. He had put in so much of his time, energy, and his entire being into the company. But each time, his efforts would not be appreciated and sometimes, they would only see what is not done, rather than what he had done. He could not resign because he had a lot of responsibilities and many mouths were depending on him to be fed, so he was scared that if he leaves, he might be without job and no one would take care of his responsibility. This made him to keep managing whatever treatment he got from the company. Well, he was constantly hopeful that one day, they would change their approach towards him.
A day came when he came to the office only to find out that he had been relieved of his job for reasons not know to him. They simply told him that his services were no longer required. He felt bad and when he was leaving, he ran into one of his old-time friends who now occupies a top political office. They exchanged pleasantries and he asked him what he was doing. He told him that he is currently without job because he was relieved of his duty. The man knew him so well and how he was committed to everything he was asked to do. So he offered him an appointment right on the spot to work as the manager in one of his private conglomerates. The pay was many times higher that his former work and also provided a more conducive working environment. You see, if he had not moved from his former place of work, he may never been able to get this new one.
There are many things about life that you may not fully understand but you just need to welcome them as they come. When change happens, it may come with some difficulties and inconveniences, but right in it, you may find your long-awaited breakthrough. You may not be able to determine the kind of surprises that life will bring to you, but always be ready to welcome them and turn them into your ally by acting positively on them.
