Hello friends at Hive and 
Last week, water began to arrive in the area where I live, and we started filling the tanks. On Wednesday, we filled the tank on the first floor, which supplies the lower part of the house where my mother-in-law lives. The tank took almost the entire day to fill, and it's a small tank, only 1,000 liters.

En la semana pasada empez贸 a llegar el agua en el sector d贸nde vivo y empezamos a llenar los tanques, el d铆a mi茅rcoles coloc谩mos a llenar el tanque que se encuentra en el primer nivel, el cual surte a la parte de abajo de la casa que es d贸nde vive la suegra, el tanque estuvo casi todo el d铆a llen谩ndose, eso qu茅 es un tanque peque帽o, de 1000 litros.
By late afternoon, the tank was full, and I started filling another tank we have in the yard. At around 8 p.m., I was in the kitchen on the first floor of the house when I suddenly heard a loud noise and felt water falling like a waterfall. I looked out the kitchen window to see what the noise was and realized, in the darkness, we have had months with the streetlights burned out and at night you can't see anything, that the tank was leaning towards the outside of the wall towards the neighboring property.
I didn't know if it was the tank that had broken or the base supporting the tank that had given way, so I went down to see what had happened, and once there, I realized that it was the tank that had burst. At that hour, there was nothing I could do, and I had to wait until morning to see how the problem could be solved.

Ya casi en la tardecita se termin贸 de llenar el tanque y puse a llenar otro tanque que tenemos en el patio, como a las 8 de la noche estaba en la cocina en el primer piso de la casa cu谩ndo de repente escucho un fuerte ruido y se sent铆a caer agua como una cascada, me asomo por la ventana de la cocina a ver qu茅 era ese ruido y me doy cuenta, entre la oscuridad, ya tenemos meses con los postes de alumbrado con los bombillos quemados y en la noche no se ve nada, que el tanque estaba inclinado hacia la paste externa de la tapia hacia el terreno de al lado.
No sab铆a si era el tanque que se hab铆a roto o la base d贸nde est谩 apoyado el tanque que hab铆a cedido, as铆 que baje a ver qu茅 hab铆a pasado y estando all谩 me percate que fue el tanque que se hab铆a reventado. Ya a esa hora no pod铆a hacer nada y ten铆a que esperar hasta ma帽ana para ver c贸mo se resolv铆a ese problema.
There is another tank on the porch that my mother-in-law bought to fill up and water her ornamental plants and some guava and avocado trees that are still small. Since there is no money to buy a new tank right away and to take advantage of the fact that water is still coming in, she told me that she will use that tank to replace the broken one. So, in the afternoon, I stopped by my mother-in-law's relative's house to ask for help carrying the other tank upstairs and installing it, and he said he would come by on Friday afternoon.
On Friday, he came around 2 p.m., and we got to work. We went upstairs and began to disconnect the pipe that was left from the broken tank. After disconnecting it, we began to remove the debris from the tank. The plastic of the tank was so baked by the sun that it looked like a cookie, breaking into pieces. I imagine that since the tank had been empty for days before the water cycle returned, it had dried out and baked in the sun, and when the tank filled up, it gave way and broke.

En la casa hay otro tanque en el porche que compro la suegra para tenerlo lleno y regar sus matas ornamentales y unas de guayabas y aguacate que a煤n est谩n peque帽as, y ella de inmediato me dijo que usariamos ese para reemplazar el que se parti贸 y as铆 aprovechar que a煤n est谩 entrando agua. As铆 que en la tarde pase por casa de un familiar de mi suegra para que me ayudara a subir el otro tanque e instalarlo y me dijo que pasaba el viernes en la tarde.
El viernes vino como a las 2 de la tarde y nos pusimos a trabajar, subimos y empezamos a desconectar la tuber铆a que qued贸 del tanque roto, luego que las desconectamos empezamos a bajar los escombros del tanque, el pl谩stico del tanque estaba tan tostado por el sol que parec铆a una galleta, se part铆a en pedazos. Me imagino que como el tanque se vaciaba d铆as antes de que regresar谩 el ciclo del agua este se fue resecando y tost谩ndose con el sol y cuando se llen贸 el tanque este cedi贸 y se parti贸.
The other tank already had its connections, so what we did was bring it up and place it on the base and secure it with a cable to the base, then we spliced the pipes; For the pipe that goes down, the water outlet, we used a dresser joint, and since this tank is taller than the damaged one, we had to cut a piece of pipe about 40 centimeters long and join them with two rings with glue.
We waited a while for the glue to dry and then turned on the tap to fill the tank and check that everything was OK and there were no water leaks. We checked and everything was fine.

Ya el otro tanque ten铆a sus conexiones as铆 que lo que hicimos fue subirlo y colocarlo sobre la base y sujetarlo con un cable a la base, luego empalmamos los tubos; el tubo que va abajo, el de salida de agua usamos una junta dresser, y como este tanque es m谩s alto que el da帽ado tuvimos que corta un pedazo de tubo como de 40 cent铆metros y los unimos con 2 anillos con pega.
Esperamos un rato para que se secara la pega y abrimos la llave para alimentar el tanque y probar que todo estaba bien, que no hubiese filtraciones de agua, chequeamos y todo hab铆a quedado bien.
