Hi, friends at Hive and
That saved us some money, but one of the mattresses is quite old and needs to be replaced, so we’ve had to go out and shop around, looking for both quality and affordability, and one of the places we went to was Colchones Regal.

Regal Mattresses is a store that’s very well-known here in Venezuela for the quality of its products, and it has three locations on Margarita Island. One is located on 4 de Mayo Avenue, another is in the La Redoma Shopping Center in Los Robles, and the one we visited is located in what used to be the Central Madeirense on Bolívar Avenue.
This store carries a wide variety of mattresses in different sizes, models, and technologies—including foam mattresses, orthopedic and semi-orthopedic mattresses, and spring mattresses featuring the latest innovations. Prices vary depending on the type of mattress. We’re looking for a double mattress—just the mattress itself, since we already have the box spring.

As for the mattresses, prices range from $331 to $1,534. They offer three categories: an economy line, a mid-range line, and what they call a high-end line—which includes mattresses that cost over $1,000. However, the ones we saw that fit our needs range from $331 to $400 or $450.
The great thing about this store is that they work with Cashea financing, and they also have a layaway system where you can pay a down payment and continue paying for your mattress until it’s paid off. However, you have to wait until you’ve finished paying to take the product home—unlike with Cashea, where you can take it home right away. With layaway, there are fewer installments, whereas with financing, you have up to 6 months to pay.

The service at the store was very good; the staff are willing to explain things to you, and you can tell they know the products they’re selling—which is important because sometimes you go to buy something and they can’t give you an explanation—but the two young women who were there at the time were very knowledgeable about each of the products they carried and offered us different payment options.
We haven’t bought the mattress yet because we need to visit other stores and compare prices. That day, we were at the mall, saw the store, and took the opportunity to go in and ask some questions. But we still need to go to downtown Porlamar, to Dibs and Tijerazo—though we haven’t been able to do that yet. Still, I think this store has good options, especially because of the financing plans.
Well, my friends, that's all for today. Take care, and see you next time.
