Renovando una gaveta para cubiertos [Esp/Eng]

Hello friends of Hive and @home.solutions, I came by to say hello and share with you a restoration I did to a drawer to store the cutlery that we had no use, but as @rlathulerie is changing everything she has set me tasks and one was to recover this wooden box that is special for cutlery and practical because it has divisions so that everything is organized.

Hola amigos de Hive y @home.solutions, paso para saludarlos y compartir con ustedes una restauración hice a una gaveta para guardar los cubiertos que teníamos sin uso, pero como @rlathulerie anda cambiando todo me ha puesto tareas y una era recuperar esta caja de madera que es especial para los cubiertos y práctica porque tiene divisiones para que este todo organizado.

She wanted to take out the one we have and use this one again, but she wanted it to have white and a part in its natural color. It is an easy renovation that can be used for anything made of wood that you have in the house, any piece of furniture that you want to make look different because nowadays we can't be buying all the time, so renovating is an alternative.

Here what I did was to sand it so that the varnish would be removed and the wood would show, Rosa wanted the top part with white in the middle and around it only the wood, and the drawer white, but it occurred to me to leave the handle unpainted and it turned out very well.

Ella quería sacar el que tenemos y usar este otra vez, pero quería que tuviese blanco y una parte en su color natural. Es una renovación fácil y que la pueden usar para cualquier cosa de madera que tengan en la casa algún mueble que quieren que se vea diferente porque ahorita no podemos estar comprando a cada rato, entonces renovar es una alternativa.

Aquí yo lo que hice fue lijarlo para que se le quitara el barniz y se viera la madera, Rosa quería la parte de arriba con blanco en el medio y el alrededor solo la madera, y la gaveta blanca, pero se me ocurrió que dejara el tirador sin pintar y quedó muy bien.

The paint I used was cold paint, but it is best if it is an acrylic paint. Here what I did is that every time I applied a coat I let it dry and sanded it with fine sandpaper. I gave it several coats until it was very white, and then I sanded it for the last time, with the drawer I did the same thing, I covered the handle with paint and sanded it when I finished, and I had the wooden countertop ready, which we found by chance these days while cleaning.

After I put it in the kitchen Rosa put some things on it that I may cdmbie because I see that she keeps looking at it a lot 🤣

Well, my friends, it was a small renovation but many things can be done to change the appearance. You can change the handle, you can also make a design or stick labels on it, whatever looks better where you are going to put it, the important thing is that you change its face and use it.

La pintura que usé fue pintura al frío, pero lo mejor es que sea una pintura acrílica. Aquí lo que hice es que cada vez que eché una capa la dejé secar y la lijé con una lija fina. Le di varias manos hasta que quedó bien blanca, y después lo lijé por última vez, con la gaveta hice lo mismo, tapé el tirador con tirro para pintar y lijé cuando terminé, y ya tenía listo el cubiertero de madera que lo encontramos de casualidad estos días haciendo limpieza.

Después que lo puse en la cocina Rosa le puso algunas cosas que puede que las cdmbie porque veo que se lo queda viendo mucho 🤣

Bueno amigos fue una renovación pequeña pero se le pueden hacer muchas cosas para que cambie la apariencia. Pueden cambiar el tirador, también le pueden hacer un diseño o pegar etiquetas, lo que se vea mejor en donde lo vayan a poner, lo importante es que le cambien la cara y lo usen.
