Hello, Splinterlands warriors! Welcome back to my battle of the day post. Today, I want to share an exciting and challenging match that I recently experienced. It’s not every day that I encounter an opponent whose card collection may seem ordinary at first glance but turns out to be incredibly powerful at max level.
When I saw the rulesets Maneuvers, Reverse Speed, and Tis But Scratches, I immediately knew I needed a solid strategy to handle these unique conditions. With a 42 mana cap, I felt confident in my choice of a strong team.
However, I was completely caught off guard when my opponent brought an army of max-level monsters! They used Immortalis as their summoner, which instantly made me rethink my defensive strategy.
Just look at their lineup:
At this point, I knew this was going to be a tough match. My team was solid, but facing max-level cards was an entirely different challenge.
As soon as the first round started, I could feel the difference. The sheer damage output from my opponent’s team was overwhelming, and because they were all at max level, their additional abilities were fully activated and incredibly impactful.
By the middle of the battle, my team was starting to fall apart one by one. My strategy was decent, but against a max-level team boosted by Immortalis? That was a different story altogether.
From this battle, I realized just how much of a difference max-level cards make. Even common and rare cards, which are often underestimated, can become serious threats when fully upgraded.

What did I learn from this battle?
For newer players, reaching max level might seem difficult. However, a smart approach is to prioritize upgrading the cards you use most often. Don’t hesitate to take advantage of the rental market if you need high-level cards for important battles.
So, what do you think? Have you ever faced a max-level opponent like this? Or do you have your own strategy for dealing with stronger enemies? Share your experiences in the comments!
