Greetings, Splinterlands warriors!

Last time, we met Vel, an Elf who uncovered a great mystery through plants and the flow of magic in Praetoria. This time, I’d like to introduce you to a character who, in my opinion, has his own unique way of dealing with life. He carries a grand prophecy, has an extraordinary amount of confidence, and never seems to run out of hope. Unfortunately, there’s one party that still refuses to cooperate with him: the sea.

His name is The “Estimated Prophet,” a Tideborn character with a Life/Water combination, created through a collaboration with Thor9 for the Visions of Verico feature.

Just reading his title already makes me smile. The word Estimated makes me imagine a prophet whose predictions are impressive, but whose schedule still needs to be double-checked. Apparently, the cart haulers of Praetoria have a similar sense of humor. They gave him that nickname, and remarkably, he accepted it with grace.

His visions are no small matter. He predicts the sea splitting apart, thunder roaring across the sky, and a glowing doorway beneath a ring of golden fire.

The signs of his prophecy have even been carved into his staff and stitched onto his clothes so everyone will recognize the moment when the miracle finally arrives.

The problem is, the sea still hasn’t responded.

If I were there, I might suggest that he check his own prophecy from time to time. Perhaps it’s not the sea that needs an update, but the schedule.

But after reading more of his story, I discovered something that makes this character feel truly special.

Behind his unfulfilled prophecy, The “Estimated Prophet” turns out to be a kind-hearted figure who is genuinely useful to the people around him.

He helps clean brackish water, comforts injured sailors, and remembers the songs loved by wandering travelers. He even remembers their children’s names and who went missing after the last storm.

When night falls, he returns to the campsite and plays music around the campfire. His prophecy may not have come true yet, but his presence has already given others something real.

For me, that’s the best part of his story.

We often measure success by whether someone can prove their ambitions, achieve their targets, or earn recognition. Yet there’s another kind of value we sometimes overlook: what do we do while we’re still working toward our goals?

The “Estimated Prophet” may not have witnessed the miracle promised by his visions. However, he doesn’t use the long wait as an excuse to stop helping others.

This lesson feels relevant to me as a Splinterlands player.

The journey isn’t always enjoyable.

But like this wandering prophet, we can learn to enjoy the journey without constantly waiting for the final result. While pursuing our goals, we can still share experiences, help new players, and build relationships within the community.

I also like how Thor9’s collaboration introduces a character who is not only entertaining but also has a human side. Through Visions of Verico, the community helps enrich the world of Praetoria with characters who each have their own habits, strengths, and weaknesses.

In the end, I have no idea when The “Estimated Prophet’s” predictions will come true. Perhaps tomorrow, next year, or after the sea has finished sorting out its own business.

But one thing is already clear: while waiting for a miracle, he continues to make other people’s lives a little better.

Keep chasing your goals in Splinterlands, but don’t forget to enjoy the process. If victory hasn’t arrived yet, there are still lessons to learn and friends to help. And if our predictions turn out to be wrong one day, at least remember to bring a musical instrument to entertain yourself by the shore.
