de mujeres que aspiran
a crucificar el dolor del desamparo
en el proscenio de los poetas.
Dijo en voz baja
historias de Lautréamont,
de Baudelaire el culpable,
de Toulouse-Lautrec
y de molinos
que nunca fueron rojos
en la Quadrille de La Goulue.
Habló sobre violines
y la persistencia de la memoria
en el techo de los mendigos
con el mismo dolor
de los poetas
que aspiraron al destierro.

He whispered

and of windmills
that were never red
in the Quadrille de La Goulue.
He spoke of violins
and the persistence of memory
on the roofs of beggars
with the same pain
as the poets
who aspired to exile.
