asking for Benedetti
in the village bar.
Roly sings about planets on his chest
and skinny girls made of glass.
The skinny girls don't matter;
the chest,
is my broken heart
for not believing Benedetti.
He,
doesn't know that love
is a word with thorns.

Los poetas venían a escuchar
sin saber era el mismísimo Oliverio Girondo
preguntando por Benedetti
en el bar del pueblo.
Roly canta sobre planetas en el pecho
y flacas de cristal.
Lo de las flacas da igual;
lo del pecho,
es mi corazón fracturado
por no creerle a Benedetti.
Él,
no sabe que el amor
es una palabra con espinas.
