Hello, Hive black-and-white photography lovers!

Every day should feel like the start of a new year. Every day, we should give thanks for the people in our lives—for the beauty and the light, shifting between black and white, that illuminates our journey through life.

So today, on my birthday, I try to keep sadness and pain at bay as I walk the streets, pausing at every tiny detail that embodies light and life.

Diverse plants in their struggle to survive, even where they are not expected to...

Plants that do not bloom, yet remain beautiful, offering us the subtlety of beauty in full interaction with their surroundings—whether adorning iron bars with the symbolism of cages left open so the essence of their being might take flight, or being reborn through the complicity of water escaping from within a wall to the outside...

Thornless plants that bypass pain and become manifest hope...

So, as I gaze at them, I sigh and bid you farewell for now—until the next black-and-white frame—but not without first sending each of you a hug of light!

Cada día debería ser como si cumpliéramos un año nuevo. Cada día deberíamos agradecer por quienes existen en virtud de lo hermoso y la luz que oscila entre el blanco y negro que ilumina nuestros pasos por la vida.

Así, hoy, en pleno cumpleaños, intento evitar que la tristeza y el dolor me invadan y voy por las calles deteniéndome en cada minúscula presencia de aquello que resulte representación de luz y vida.

Plantas diversas en su lucha por sobrevivir incluso donde no se espera lo hagan...

Plantas que no florecen, pero aún así son hermosas y nos regalan la sutilidad de lo bello en plena interacción con el entorno, bien sea como quien acompaña rejas en la simbología de jaulas que son abiertas para que la esencia de su existir vuele, o como quien renace en la complicidad del agua que se fuga por los interiores de una pared al exterior...

Plantas sin espinas, que obvian el dolor y se convierten en esperanza manifiesta...

Así, contemplándolas, suspiro y me voy despidiendo por ahora hasta un próximo fotograma en blanco y negro, no sin antes regalarles a cada uno de ustedes ¡un abrazo de luz!
