A new coffee shop discovered! | The Coffee Shop Prompt Week 186 [EN-ES]

Hello, coffee lovers!

This week, @cinnccf invites us to talk about a visit to a coffee shop where the weather played a memorable role—perhaps a storm, a heatwave, or the first snowfall took us by surprise. We are also asked to discuss how the outside world influenced the atmosphere inside the café.

As for us, I believe I’ve mentioned before that in Cuba, we don’t have the pleasure of experiencing snow. We really only have two seasons here: the dry season and the rainy season.

Technically, we are in the rainy season right now, but it doesn't quite manifest the way it used to years ago.

To cope with the heat, fortunately, we can visit a coffee shop now and then to cool off while savoring such an exquisite drink.

This week, I was able to visit a new coffee shop in my city that I had seen but hadn't managed to visit yet.

The place doesn't immediately catch the eye from the street. You have to look closely, even though the doors always remain open to the public.

The café is called Nayli's Bakery, as they aim to showcase the pastries they sell alongside their various coffee offerings.

The interior welcomes us with an intriguing design that balances understated elegance with minimalism, featuring furniture crafted from reclaimed wood that once served other practical purposes.

The curious thing is that we expected the coffee to be of excellent quality, but that wasn't the case. We ordered espresso, which was supposed to be strong. When it was served, it looked appealing due to the visible crema, but it turned out to be quite mild on the palate.

We enjoyed it regardless, and took advantage of the fact that it wasn't raining to head to another spot where we could drink in peace—as a high-end coffee deserves. I’ll tell you about that another time.

Esta semana @cinnccf nos invita a hablar sobre
alguna visita a una cafetería marcada por el clima, donde una tormenta, una ola de calor, o primera nevada nos sorprenda. También nos pide comentar sobre cómo influyó el mundo exterior en la atmósfera de la cafetería.

En nuestro caso, creo que ya les mencioné en Cuba no tenemos el placer de disfrutar de la nieve. Acá apenas hay dos temporadas, una de sequía y otra de lluvia.

Ahora se supone estamos en temporada de lluvias, pero resulta que no se manifiesta como hace años atrás.

Para solventar un poco el clima cálido, por fortuna tenemos la posibilidad de acudir a alguna que otra cafetería y ahí refrescar mientras se degusta de tan exquisita bebida.

Esta semana pude visitar una nueva cafetería de mi ciudad que había visto y en la que aún no lográbamos estar.

El lugar no resalta a la vista en plena calle. Hay que fijarse bien aunque sus puertas siempre permanecen abiertas al público.

La cafetería se llama Nayli's Bakery pues intentan difundir uno de los productos que expenden como compañía de las variedades de café, la pastelería.

El interior nos recibe con un diseño interesante en el que juega lo sobrio con lo minimalista en sus muebles a partir de la reutilización de madera que antaño tenía otros fines de utilidad.

Lo curioso es que esperábamos el café tuviese una calidad óptima, pero no fue el caso. Pedimos café expreso, supuestamente fuerte. Cuando nos lo sirvieron, a la vista parecía atractivo por la espuma manifiesta, pero resultó un café bien suave en su consistencia al paladar.

De todos modos lo disfrutamos y aprovechamos que no llovía para dirigirnos entonces a otro lugar donde sí beber en calma como se merece un café de alta gama. De ello, les contaré en otro momento.
