Hello everyone, it's a beautiful sunny afternoon over here and how are you all doing today? Or let me just ask how are you all coping with the hot weather today. Well, I am always home so I don't have any problem with the weather except I have foodstuffs to deliver but today I don't have.
As a lady, we love to buy things here and there even though we don't need that thing. I am not excluded from the bad habits, sometimes I wonder why I get lots of load in my house but then I remember that I can't do without buying things.
When I was in the university, my boyfriend who is now my husband always complained about how much I always spent weekly but I wouldn't listen since I work too and I could always spend my salary even if he didn't give me money. There was no day I didn't buy clothes whenever I came back from school since I love clothes so much. Along the line, I found out that I was pregnant with my first child.
So because of that, we fast-forwarded our relationship to marriage, my husband gave me 500k to spend for the introduction and everything we needed to do, to cut the long story short I got to market and started buying clothes first. I but a box full of clothes and at the end of the day I couldn't buy enough food and the money wasn't enough for the remaining things to get for the wedding.
I stood in the middle of the market with my elder sister contemplating what to do, I was already regretting my actions, so my elder sister suggested that we return some of the clothes. When we got to the woman we bought clothes from she said she doesn't take such clothes back because we have already paid and left for over an hour.
Regret was an understatement of what I was feeling that day, you know when a man has budget money for something and he then gives the money to his beautiful woman to manage and in the end all the woman saw in the market was clothes. And at the end of the day, I wouldn't wear everything. Out of 10 clothes, it might be just 3 that I would wear, but the moment I see them I just want them in my wardrobe.
I stood in front of the woman's shop then started crying because just before I found out about the pregnancy he still warned me about how I buy stuff, I couldn't add to the wedding money since I had recked my account because of clothes and yet the money he managed to give me I squandered it. My sister suggested that I call him, I knew how he would react so I didn't buy the idea so I asked my sister to borrow me instead which she did.
But still, when we got home I couldn't afford some little things like buying enough water for people who want to cook, which my mom came in for that. My siblings ended up contributing to the remaining things and I regret buying clothes that day. Ever since that day, I always caution myself on what to buy and what not to buy because I nearly ruined my wedding day because of clothes.
