Nueva exposici贸n en el Centro de Artes "Omar Carre帽o" 馃槏馃帹 [Esp/Eng]
As you know every time I can I take the opportunity to visit the Omar Carre帽o Arts Center in La Asuncion to see if they have any new exhibition in the Felix Villarroel gallery that operates in its facilities, and my last visit to the state capital was no exception, so I took the opportunity to go down to the gallery and luckily they had already changed the previous exhibition, so of course I took my time to go down and enjoy this new exhibition called Anonymous Journey by the artist Gaciela Zuniga.
In this exhibition, unlike the previous ones I have been to, all the pieces on display corresponded to a single artist, since it is a solo exhibition, so this time there were no sculptures, but exclusively paintings, and all as you can see were faithful representatives of abstract art, which as you know I like very much, so I was happy when I looked from above to the room and saw what it was about and of course I did not hesitate to go down, and I could say that one of the things I liked (and they do not always do) is that the exhibition was very well identified.
As you can see, it not only has the name given by the artist to this exhibition, but it is accompanied by two writings in which she talks a little about the artist, the art of painting and the exhibition itself, and the truth was something that I loved, because it helps us to know the artist and her inspiration at the time of painting.
Simplemente hermosas.
As I told you the exhibition corresponds entirely to abstract art, so we will not see landscapes, portraits, etc., since this type of painting does not seek to represent a visual reality, they are simply strokes, mixtures of colors that unite to express a feeling, and I understand that this type of painting is not for everyone, but I particularly love them, especially when they show a lot of color. Without a doubt those are my favorites.
This exhibition occupies the two rooms of the gallery and you can see works in different sizes and a great variety of colors, in some they used only cold tones, in others only warm tones and in others predominantly earth tones, and they also had some monochromatic pieces, only in different shades of the same color and those were my favorites along with those showing compositions in cold tones. Simply beautiful.
I spent quite some time walking around the gallery, passing from one piece to another, and returning to take a second look at the ones that caught my attention, and if there is a word that can define the feeling of being there, that word would be peace.
The gallery is not only alone, but not being the sculptures in the middle of the room I could move with tranquility without fear of tripping over a piece and knock it down, because well, I must confess that I'm a little clumsy, and I usually trip over everything, so it was a relief to be able to move without worrying about breaking something super expensive 馃ぃ
As you can see it was an experience that I enjoyed a lot, so every time I can I take the opportunity, in fact I have already lost count of the number of exhibitions I have seen in that gallery and I am very happy that there is this space on the island for both artists and art lovers. It is truly a place you can't miss.
