Venezuelans have had to get used to say goodbye, to say goodbye to family and friends without knowing if we will see them again and at that moment of farewell we are grateful for the memories and moments lived.

Today I could tell you that I come with a little sadness, but I have decided not to see it that way, so although once again I had to say goodbye to people very important and dear to me instead of feeling sad I will be thankful and remember the moments shared. At the end of the day that is the only thing we have left.

I have already talked about Celina a few times in my blog, she is a great friend I met thanks to my daughter Miranda, since she is the mother of Gabriel, her best friend at school. They studied together from the age of two and a half until they were five.

They are both nine years old now. Miranda is older than Gabriel by only nine days and not only do they share that, but when they both entered kindergarten they had a marked difficulty with speech, so when they could not communicate properly with others they took refuge in each other.

With Celina the friendship was very natural and even though at the age of five we had to change schools, the friendship between the children and us was not affected. We always looked for ways to share and spend time together. So there are many moments and pictures that will always remind us of their time in our lives.

A few years ago, Celina's husband had to emigrate looking for better living conditions for him and his family and after three years they managed to make all the necessary arrangements to reunite again.

I will not deny that it made me very sad. Celina is my best friend, we created a very strong bond because of her mother's illness and death. It was a very hard two years, of falling down and getting up. She even had to move to another state to take care of her mother's health, who finally could not overcome the cancer.

She is very similar to me in terms of character and way of seeing life, although I must say that if I have a strong character she triples it. She is a strong woman and quite strong. The truth is that she is someone I admire for her fortitude and strength to face everything she has had to live.

Celina and Gabriel we lived very beautiful moments and I thank God for that time, for the memories and so many images that we have to treasure with them.

Today, although there are mixed feelings, I feel very happy because she has been able to be reunited with her husband after more than three years. I can tell you that receiving the pictures of the three of them together filled my heart with joy. After so much suffering and difficult moments it was just and necessary that ray of sunshine for her and Gabriel.

Every day that passed reminded me how close her departure was. I spent a long time looking at the photos of all the moments we shared. How many smiles, how many funny anecdotes and that crazy laugh of Celina's, so loud that we looked to the sides to see the expression of those around us.

to go through this once again is not easy. This year we said goodbye to my husband's only brother, who emigrated with his wife and two girls, and now it is my turn to say goodbye to another person very dear to me. My two sisters have been gone for years, so we are practically alone here.

The outlook could be very sad, but the truth is that instead I will be grateful. Nowadays there are many ways to keep in touch and although a message or looking at pictures will never replace the warmth and emotion of a hug at least we have that.

Having the ease of a click on our cell phone to fill us with memories is priceless. I would need many posts to be able to show all the beautiful moments we shared and that thanks to technology I can recall them whenever I want.

Iis true that physically she is not here but I know that our friendship and affection will remain through time. Since she left, we talk daily through messages and she is passing reports and pictures of everything she does daily in what will be her home from now on.

I can only thank God for his life, for his friendship, sincerity, respect and love for me and my family. I am grateful that he filled my life and my children's lives with so many beautiful memories that, no matter how many years go by, will remain as proof of a great friendship.

For Celi I wish the greatest possible happiness with her husband and Gabriel and although I wish she had not had to leave I am very happy for her and for all the years and experiences shared.

"Nobody knows what they have until they lose it " is a very popular phrase that in this case does not apply to our friendship. We both knew how to value and appreciate each other's presence in each other's lives, and even though we lived far away from each other, we took advantage of every opportunity to be together to share.

Today this post is full of photographs, of experiences, of affection, of love and of love for each other.

In each photograph you can see the passing of the years, not only in the children but also in us. It has been years of sharing, of helping, of supporting each other in every difficult moment we have gone through. Many laughs and many tears that confirm to me that even though we are far away today, in one way or another we will always be united.
