Ana no podĆa esperar!
Ana was a little mouse, with big black eyes and long pointed whiskers, very lively, dreamy and playful. She made up the most wonderful stories you can imagine, flowers that grow so high they take you to the moon, butterflies that invite you to fly through the blue sky thanks to their magic powder of colors and tiny bugs that make you tiny and take you to their wonderful home under the earth. Like most little girls, she loves the color pink, playing in the garden and listening to the amazing stories her mother told her at bedtime.
Our dreamy little mouse lived in a quirky little town called Gorgonzola on Camembert Street surrounded by lots of love with her mom and dad. She didn't go to school yet because she was very little so she could spend all day playing and having great adventures, always in the company of her mom, who enjoyed watching her creating fabulous worlds and running all over the garden. Her house was her dream house! Painted pink, of course, with yellow tiles, heart-shaped windows and a lilac door with a sign with sky blue roses that said "Welcome " and with the most fantastic garden you can imagine!
Ana's favorite place in the whole house was the garden! A wonderful place full of beautiful colorful flowers that she had planted with her mom and that every day was visited by a great variety of weirdos of all shapes and colors that fed on the flowers and jumped endlessly from one place to another, but the visitors that most caught the attention of our little mouse were the colorful butterflies that fluttered endlessly around her. Anne used to imagine that their wings were releasing magical colored dusts and she would run after them to catch them. Oh, how Ana loved to be in her special place, and from there every morning she would see her daddy off to work.

Little Ana's father worked in a nice little shop just around the corner called "El gran sabor" where they sold all kinds of cheeses! Every day the inhabitants of Gorgonzola would go there to buy the delicious Emmental cheese with its curious little holes or the bright orange cheddar cheese and we can't forget the peculiar blue cheese with its particular smell and taste. Every day at dusk, Papa Mouse, ready to go home, would prepare a delicious surprise for his little mouse! A delicious portion of Gouda cheese, which Ana ate with great joy while talking with mom and dad.
Her mother was a writer and works from home creating fantastic stories for children. The ones she would tell her beloved Ana every night at bedtime. She used to write in the garden while the mischievous little mouse was running after some insect in the garden. Ana used to dream of being a writer like her mother and being able to tell all those wonderful stories she imagined while playing, meanwhile she enjoyed every adventure her mother lovingly told her while sitting on the edge of her bed.
Despite being a very happy little mouse there was something that Ana wished with all her heart and that was to have a little sister to play with. From her garden she looked longingly at her friends having fun with their siblings and they looked so happy that Ana wanted one, two and even three little brothers and sisters! How happy I would be if I had a companion to chase after the butterflies in this beautiful garden " thought Ana as she watched the butterflies fluttering around the flowers. Every night when she said her prayers before going to sleep, little Ana remembered to ask the Mouse God for the little sister she wanted so much and she slept happily between her soft pink sheets, dreaming that someday her dream would come true.
One sunny morning while Ana was playing in the garden with a beautiful ladybug of a very bright red color that when sliding on her paw gave her a soft tickle that made her laugh non-stop, her mom approached her making an announcement that would change the life of our little mouse forever! You will have a little brother " she said, while Ana quickly got up from the grass to hug her and ended up jumping all over the garden shouting very happily *"at last, at last, my dream has come true!
Ana was happy! At last she would have someone to play with and she wouldn't be alone anymore. She used to spend her days lying in her garden looking up at the sky imagining the great adventures she would have when her brother or sister finally came home! Oh, she couldn't wait to catch bugs and butterflies together! She could see herself running, laughing and playing with the brother she had dreamed of so much. The days and nights seemed to take forever and it seemed that the long awaited day when he would receive his dreamed gift would never come. She constantly asked her mother how many days were left until the baby's arrival and her mother always lovingly told her "soon, my little one, soon" Ana kept crossing days off the calendar and the day she least expected, one beautiful April morning, it happened! Mom came home with a little sister wrapped in a beautiful pink blanket. Our little mouse couldn't believe it, she was so happy, finally her dream came true! She had a baby sister to play with... what a wonderful gift, what a special day.
The little baby was named Ema! She was a beautiful little mouse, so tiny and fragile, with black eyes like her big sister's and little paws that Ana wanted to play with all day long. She could spend hours by her crib just looking at her. The little baby was really fascinating, she made funny noises, ate all the time and didn't know how to talk! Anne wondered how mommy knew when to eat or change her diaper. Her favorite part of the day was when mom allowed her to hold little Ema. Sitting upright on the couch, she would carefully hold her and tell her about the great adventures that were to come for both of them as soon as she learned to walk! Ana couldn't wait!
But a few days after the baby arrived Ana began to notice that mommy didn't have as much time to spend with her anymore because the baby needed things all the time. She was a specialist in dirtying diapers that mom was rushing to change and it seemed like she had two tummies because she ate so much and cried so much that mom stopped playing with her to hold Ema, so the idea of having a baby sister didn't seem fun for her anymore. Now mom and dad were spending a lot of time with the baby and she didn't like that at all!
As the days went by mom began to notice that her precious Ana was not as happy as usual and was no longer asking to hold her baby sister, so one day while Ana was quietly watching a little caterpillar in the garden she sat down next to her and asked her why she was sad, to which Ana answered with a sigh and said "I thought having a sister would be fun but it's not, everyone takes care of the baby and no one is there for me ", which was not quite true but with much love mom explained to her that the baby being so small needed a lot of care but that in the blink of an eye she would grow up and she could play with her in the garden.
And so it happened! Time flew by, Ema was growing up fast and finally she could play with Ana in the garden! The days turned out to be much more wonderful with her sister, who apparently was so hungry that she wanted
to eat bugs all the time, which was totally fascinating for Ana and she let her do as she pleased and every now and then she tried one or another bug that Ema offered her. Every day they lived together the greatest adventures. Ema turned out to be the best companion for collecting magic butterfly dust, she was almost as good as her big sister and for the spring she and mom had planted new flowers in the garden. And finally looking at the blue sky Anne thought that after all Ema turned out to be the best gift of all!
