Hello dear hivers and greetings to you all.
Let's gist a bit for weekend.
Have you ever stopped to wonder why we love comics so much?
It's not just the superpowers or the funny drawings of it but it's curiosity.
Comics are curiosity in picture form.
Let me show you.
YOUR BRAIN LOVES THE GAP.
In comics, there is a gap between one panel and the next. One minute Batman is jumping, next minute he is landing. Your brain fills that gap.
That is called closure.
Truly, you are not just reading comics, your mind is creating the story and that is curiosity at work.
WHY DO WE EXCLAIMED AT SUPERPOWERS?
Spiderman climbs walls.
Hulk turns green when angry.
And we ask ourselves what if we could do that?
That question is curiosity.
Comics give us permission to ask impossible questions, and sometimes, science tries to answer them. Today we have real prosthetic arms, jetpacks, and AI...etc, all things comics imagined first.
COMICS TEACH WITHOUT YOU KNOWING.
Did you know many kids learned to read faster because of comics? Truly the mix of picture and short words makes your brain understand faster. You are curious about what happens next, so you keep reading. Learning becomes fun.
THE MOST CURIOUS CHARACTER EVER?
It's not Batman or Spiderman but it is the reader. This is because you turn the page and really want to know whether the hero survive and who is the villain?
That what happens next and feeling is the purest form of curiosity.
Comics are not just for kids.
They are for anyone who never stopped asking what if?
And, when comics meet curiosity, magic happens.
What was the first comic you ever read that made you super curious?
For me it was Spider-Man.
